Suggested popping instructions (stovetop)
- Add 1–2 tbsp oil to a large pot over medium heat.
- Put 3–4 kernels in the pot and cover. When they pop, add 1/3 cup (about 60–70g) kernels in an even layer.
- Cover, remove from heat for 30 seconds, return to heat; shake the pot occasionally until popping slows to 2–3 seconds between pops.
- Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl, and season as desired.
Serving suggestion for coffee ceremony
- Lightly salt or dust with a mild spice blend (e.g., a pinch of berbere or cardamom) and serve in small dishes beside the coffee set.
